Fuse Box Replacement (New Consumer Unit)
Your fuse box (a consumer unit, in the trade) is the heart of your home's electrics. An old one is the weak spot we find most often. A modern board cuts the power in a split second when something goes wrong, which protects you from shocks and fire.
We test every circuit before the swap, so there are no surprises. Then we fit a good board with surge protection, label it clearly and give you the certificate the same day. Most swaps take one day. We leave the cupboard and the floor as clean as we found them.

A clearly labelled board, a full certificate and the Building Control notice.
Fuse boxes questions, answered
How much does a new fuse box cost?
It depends on the board and your circuits, so we give you one fixed price for your job before we start. No surprises on the bill.
How long will the power be off?
Usually a few hours in the middle of the day. We plan the swap so you are without power for as short a time as we can.
Why does my new fuse box trip when the old one never did?
A new board spots faults the old one missed. That is the protection doing its job. We test every circuit at the swap, so anything it finds gets fixed properly.
Does a new fuse box need to be notified?
Yes, it has to go to Building Control. As an NICEIC registered installer we do that for you and it is included in the price.
